Wordpress 2.6 fails to fix Links/Blogroll widget bug
Wordpress 2.6 has been released. Whilst in many areas this continues the good work of 2.5 (and 2.5.1) it does however fail to fix the bug in the Links or Blogroll widget. Since version 2.5 onwards the ‘Links’ widget has been devoid of an options with only one permitted instance / use.

The missing features (last seen in the WP 2.3.. branch) gave the wordpress widget the option to select a ‘links category’ and also allowed multiple instances of the widget in the sidebars (where each could then show links from their own selected category).
